A Rainforest Experience Like No Other
The highlight of Otway Fly is the Treetop Walk, a gently winding two-kilometre experience that takes you from the forest floor up into the canopy. As you stroll along the 30-metre-high elevated steel walkways, you’re surrounded by towering trees, lush ferns and filtered light streaming through the leaves above.
Interpretive signs positioned throughout the walk share interesting facts about the rainforest ecosystem, local wildlife and the history of the area, adding depth to the experience.
Spiral Tower and Cantilever Views
One of the most exciting features of the Treetop Walk is the Spiral Tower, which rises an impressive 45–47 metres above the forest floor. Climbing the tower’s 200 steps rewards you with panoramic views across the Otway forest canopy — a breathtaking sight on a clear day.
From the tower, you can also step out onto the 24-metre cantilever, which gently sways in the breeze and creates the feeling of floating above the forest. Remarkably, the cantilever is engineered to hold 28 tonnes, equivalent to the weight of 14 elephants.
The Walk Through the Canopy

Your visit begins at the Visitor Centre and Café, located about 300 metres from the large carpark, where you purchase tickets for the Treetop Walk. From there, a downhill path leads you through cool temperate rainforest for around a kilometre before reaching the canopy walk.
The 600-metre fully enclosed steel walkway is sturdy and secure, offering uninterrupted views of the forest below and the towering treetops above. After completing the elevated sections, the return path winds gently alongside the fern-lined Young’s Creek, before climbing back up to the Visitor Centre.
