Adams Beach Tasmania
Adams Beach, also known as Lades Beach, is the longest of the Bridport Beaches.
It is located on the outskirts of Bridport, and stretches an impressive 1.7 kilometres to the Little Forester River, making it the town’s longest beach and a favourite for locals and visitors alike.
Its wide, sandy shore is perfect for long walks, picnics, and sunset strolls, while the gentle waves attract swimmers and body surfers looking for a bit of fun in the water.
The beach is also a popular spot for dog walkers, who enjoy letting their furry friends run along the sand. With plenty of space to spread out, Adams Beach offers a relaxed, uncrowded alternative to the main township beaches. The beach is open to the Bass Strait and is a favourite among swimmers, body surfers and dog walkers.
The Bridport Wildflower Reserve is part of the Granite Point Conservation Area, and several walking tracks through the reserve go to Adams Beach. It is a lovely place to walk, especially in Spring when you can see beautiful displays of heath flowers.
Directions to Adams Beach
From Bridport, head west on Main Street towards South Street, then continue onto Sandy Point Road. Follow this road for 5.7 kilometres, then turn right after 450 metres you will reach the car parking area.
