Coles Bay is a small seaside village on the edge of Great Oyster Bay, surrounded by the stunning Hazards mountain range. It is a popular place to stay and explore the Freycinet National Park and walk to the lookout with amazing views of Wineglass Bay. Coles Bay is located 173 kilometres from Launceston and 192 kilometres from Hobart.




There is a convenience store, hotel, bakery, cafe, takeaway, and ice cream store in Coles Bay. On the outskirts of town, you can also get fresh oysters and seafood from the Freycinet Marine Farm.


In Freycinet National Park, you can explore Wineglass Bay, Hazards Beach, Sleepy Bay, Honeymoon Bay, Cape Tourville, and many lovely secluded beaches.
