Port Willunga

Updated: May 2, 2024

Port Willunga

Port Willunga Beach is located 45 kilometres south of Adelaide. The long, curved beach has crystal clear water and soft white sand and is sheltered by towering cliffs, it is a popular spot for swimming.

Wander along the beach to the weather-beaten pylons, which are all that remains of the jetty that was destroyed in 1915. You can explore the beach caves, where fishermen once carved out caverns in the cliffs to store their boats and nets.

A short walk through the dunes, you will see the ruins of the old Harbour Master’s cottage built in 1880.
