Near the Royal Circus roundabout, you’ll find several significant landmarks, including Customs House, the Matthew Flinders statue, and the Chinese Monument. These sites reflect Robe’s rich maritime history and its role as an important port during the 19th century.
Robe Coastal Walk
One of the highlights of visiting Robe is walking the Robe Coastal Trail, which offers spectacular views over Guichen Bay and the rugged coastline beyond. As you follow the trail, you’ll pass several iconic landmarks, including The Obelisk, built in 1855 as a navigational aid, and the Robe Lighthouse, which continues to guide vessels along the coast. Along the way, you’ll also see the atmospheric old gaol ruins, remnants of Robe’s early colonial days. The walk combines ocean views, dramatic cliffs and layers of history, making it a must-do experience.
Beaches and Seaside Living
Robe is surrounded by beautiful sandy beaches, with calm, clear waters perfect for swimming, snorkelling and relaxing by the sea. We really enjoyed our stay at Robe Holiday Park — a spacious, relaxed campground set just a short walk from the beach and the charming seaside town of Robe. The park offers large, easy-access sites, well-maintained amenities, a camp kitchen and plenty of open space to unwind after a day on the road. It’s perfectly located for exploring local highlights like Long Beach, the Robe Obelisk and the scenic coastal walking trails, while still being close enough to stroll into town for cafés and fresh seafood. One unique feature is the boutique gin distillery right on site, which adds a fun local touch to your stay.
