Millstream Falls

Updated: May 2, 2024

Millstream Falls ~ Queensland.

Millstream Falls

Millstream Falls is reputedly the widest single-drop waterfall in Australia, and the water spectacularly flows over the edge of a columnar basalt lava cliff. The falls are surrounded by dry, open woodland dominated by eucalyptus trees; the dry conditions are due to a rain shadow caused by the Great Dividing Range.

There is a walking track from the carpark to a viewing platform; it is approx. 680 metres one way. The viewing platform is a great spot to marvel at these magnificent falls and take some great photos. There are picnic tables and toilets near the carpark.

Directions to Millstream Falls

Millstream Falls is located in the Millstream Falls National Park, 4.5 km along the Kennedy Highway from Ravenshoe in Far North Queensland.

Plenty of parking is available; it is also suitable to park a Coach or Motorhome.
