Viewing Waratah Falls from Above

The most accessible and popular viewpoint of Waratah Falls is right on Main Street, directly opposite the Bischoff Hotel. From here, you can enjoy an elevated view across Waratah Lake, the waterfall, and the charming township beyond. It’s an easy stop that requires no walking, making it ideal for all visitors — whether you’re stretching your legs on a road trip or lingering a little longer to soak up the scenery.

Walking to the Base of Waratah Falls

For a closer look, there is a short walking track down to the base of the falls. The track starts from Anne Street and descends approximately 400 metres through bushland.

At the bottom, you’ll find yourself at the rocky base of the falls, where you can look up and watch the water rush over the cliff above. After rainfall, the falls are particularly impressive, with increased water flow adding to the drama of the scene.
