Lemonade Scones ~ Cooked in Weber
Lemonade scones cooked in the Weber are an easy camping treat, and they only need a few ingredients.
To make the scones, you need 3 cups of flour, 1 cup of lemonade and 1 cup of cream. Full Recipe below, and you can also see a video demonstration on our Campsite Review at Tocumwal Town Beach ~ Click Here.

Ingredients
3 cups self-raising flour
Pinch of salt
1 cup lemonade
1 cup thickened cream
Jam & Cream to serve
Makes 12 normal-sized scones
or 8 large scones.
Method
Preheat the Weber to 190°C–200°C.
In a large mixing bowl, sift the flour and then add a pinch of salt. Make a well in the centre, then pour in the lemonade and cream. Gently mix with a flat-bladed knife until just combined—don’t overwork it.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead lightly for a minute or two until smooth. Pat or roll out to about 2cm thick.
Dip a 5cm round cutter (or whatever you have, we used an egg ring) in flour and cut out the scones. Gather and reshape any leftover dough to cut out more.
Arrange the scones 1cm apart on a tray sprinkled with flour. Brush the tops lightly with leftover cream.
Place the tray in the Weber and cook with the lid closed for 10–12 minutes, check and cook longer if required until the scones have risen and turned golden brown.
Allow to cool slightly, then serve warm with jam and cream.
